The Making of a World Record

Classic and a national sorority just might break a Guinness world record this year. Find out how Classic prepared for such a massive event.

The Atlanta, Georgia branch of Classic Party Rentals had the privilege of leading the execution of this world-record breaking dinner on July 13, 2016.  The world-record meal was the culminating dinner of the sorority’s 67th Boule Convention in Atlanta from July 9th to 16th.  At this record-breaking event, currently under review by the Guinness organization as the world’s largest ever sit down and plated meal, it is estimated that there were well over 22,000 women in attendance. The event was held between the Halls A and C of the Georgia World Congress Center (GWCC), the fourth-largest convention center in the United States. This event shatters the record of 16,000 diners previously held by the same sorority from several years ago.

Classic Party Rentals placed the vast majority of items for the dinner including contributions from 15 Classic branches and several third-party vendors across the United States.

Classic teammates were at the event in full-force. Many took key leadership roles in the execution of this event, which according to the GWCC was the highest-rated and reviewed event by its guests in the history of the GWCC, which is more than 40 years. Again, this was a total system effort from all of the Classic branches.  Thank you very much.
